College Track in Los Angeles

In a city known for its wealth and opportunity, too many young people from our most vibrant and diverse communities lack the education necessary to bring their talents to the workforce.

In partnership with the i.am.angel Foundation, our first center in Los Angeles opened in 2012 within the Boyle Heights community. Three years later, we partnered with the Wasserman Foundation to open our second center in Watts, adjacent to the Jordan High School campus.

This year, we launched our third center in Crenshaw and will celebrate our first class of college graduates from Boyle Heights, broadening our impact to serve more than 700 students across Los Angeles.

“If we want to solve the tough problems of the world, we should look no further than a first-generation college graduate. Look to the students who possess the drive and determination to create a better world for us and for our children. Our shared future truly depends on young people from all races and backgrounds earning their seat at the table.”
