Programming Highlights

Internship Experience

Internships are a leading indicator of future employment. Internships help scholars sharpen their career interests and elevate them towards their goals by providing valuable work experience, opportunities to network, and the potential to find a mentor. We seek out exclusive, paid internship opportunities that are only available to College Track scholars to ensure high-quality, great-fit opportunities.

Life Design Workshops

This webinar series offers a standing resource that scholars can rely on year after year to support their career interests regardless of where they are along their journey. The workshops center scholar experience by affirming feelings of nerves or anxiety, naming the inherent inequity within the U.S. employment systems, and offering hands-on, interactive content.

Career Exposure Events at Sites

By hosting employee volunteers at sites or coordinating field trips, College Track provides interactive, hands-on experiences for scholars to learn more about and demystify their career interests and values. Special events support scholars to map out their values, passions, skills, abilities, and interests, to potential career opportunities that are a great fit for their unique identities.

Each site hosts these events individually. Check your site’s calendar to learn about the next event.

Career readiness content makes up 20% of the LEAD Curriculum that all High School scholars experience on Site. Lessons “equip scholars with the perspective and skills needed to be a purpose-driven leader in their communities in college and beyond” (nXu). Learn more.
