College Track is a free, comprehensive 10-year program that walks students from ninth grade through college graduation and into career, equipping students from under-resourced communities to become the first in their family to earn a bachelor’s degree.

We’re looking for committed, positive, and motivated ninth-grade students who are ready for the structure and community a college-going path provides. Our program is open to all eligible students, regardless of race, ethnicity, or citizenship status.

Who Can Be a College Track Scholar?

You may be eligible to become a College Track scholar if you:

  • Are entering 9th grade in the fall semester
  • Are first-generation and/or from an under-resourced household
  • Are committed to earning a bachelor’s degree
  • Can be on-site 1–2 times per week
scholar family

What does "first-generation" mean?

Neither of your parents received a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in the U.S.

Recruitment Timeline

Step 1

Submit the Application

August 1 – October 31

Complete the online application, which includes two parts: the Student Application and the Parent/Guardian Application.

Step 2

Attend a Candidate Interview

Rolling, October

If you’re eligible, you’ll be invited to a Candidate Interview — a chance to share more about yourself and why you want to join College Track, and to ask any questions that will help you decide if this is the right next step for you.

Step 3

Attend a Finalist Interview

November

Everyone who completes a Candidate Interview moves on to a Finalist Interview, where you’ll share more about your goals, dreams, motivations, and passions through a series of group activities.

Step 4

Accept Your Admission

December

If you’re admitted, you’ll receive an acceptance letter with instructions on how to confirm your spot in the program.

Step 5

Become a College Track Scholar

January

Newly admitted scholars and their families attend New Scholar and Family Orientation, where you’ll meet your new peers, learn more about what to expect from the program, and officially join the College Track community.
