Career Discovery Externship

A Week That Can Change a Career Path

Having one internship in college increases a student’s odds of being employed by 45%. The Career Discovery Externship is a week-long summer program that gives college scholars a firsthand look at career pathways across industries — visiting host companies, experiencing a day in the life, and identifying roles that align with their interests and values.

For scholars still exploring what’s next, this is a chance to test out a career before committing to it — and to leave with a clearer sense of where their skills and interests can take them.

Program Overview

Why Participate?

This program helps scholars become internship-ready — practicing networking skills, building confidence in professional settings, and identifying the types of opportunities they want to pursue in the future. It’s the ideal starting point for scholars who want an internship but aren’t sure where to begin.

Is This Right for Me?

This opportunity is a great fit if you’re exploring your career options, interested in experiencing a range of organizations, or looking to expand your professional network. You’ll take part in scholar experience panels, workshops, tips, and hands-on activities designed to practice problem-solving in a real work environment.
