Oakland, CA (July 22, 2026) – Two of College Track’s partners were recognized at the 2026 ESPYS for their commitment to young people — a reflection of the kind of investment that makes our work possible.
The Baltimore Ravens were named the 2026 Sports Humanitarian Team of the Year, honoring the organization’s broad investment in Baltimore’s youth. Through the Baltimore Ravens College Track Center, made possible by the team’s $20 million gift and a broader $30 million, 10-year commitment to college access and career readiness, we’re equipping first-generation scholars from under-resourced communities in Baltimore to reach and complete their bachelor’s degrees. “We have an obligation to step up and help out,” said Heather Darney, the Ravens’ Vice President of Community Relations — a philosophy that has shaped every part of the partnership.
Stephen Curry was honored with the Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award, recognizing years of work through the Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation, which he and Ayesha Curry built to ensure kids in Oakland have the food, resources, and safe spaces to thrive. The Davidson College Curry Scholars Program extends that commitment further: each year, five to ten scholars will receive a scholarship to Davidson College, one of the nation’s premier liberal arts colleges, building on Davidson’s longstanding work to recruit first-generation scholars and build a community from all backgrounds. We’re proud to help extend that opportunity to scholars right here in the Bay Area. As Curry put it in his acceptance speech, “If you invest in a child, you’re investing in everything that’s possible for their future.”
