From Pandemic Roots to a Thriving Site
College Track Crenshaw is one of the organization’s youngest sites — and one of the only founded during the COVID-19 pandemic. That origin story shaped everything: a team built from the ground up to adapt, innovate, and find new ways forward when the old playbook didn’t apply.
Founded in 2019, the site has grown from a small founding team into a fully staffed operation of 13, now serving scholars recruited from more than 20 high schools across the Crenshaw community and surrounding neighborhoods.
In 2024, the site marked a defining milestone: its inaugural graduating class — proof that what started in the hardest of circumstances is now delivering exactly what it set out to.
